Young People
What do the sessions involve?
Our centre based youth sessions offer a wide range of activities such as sports, arts and crafts, cooking/baking, x-box/play station, table tennis, pool/snooker and project work.
Detached sessions are carried out on the streets, you may find 2/3 youth workers talking to groups of young people at the local parks, street corners or outside of shops. Our aim is to build up relationships with all young people and to organise weekly contact where we can encourage engagement in positive activities.
What you can expect
You can expect to be greeted by our friendly staff team and other young people who will show you around the centre and explain the rules. We encourage young people to participate in planned activities, which you have a chance to input to and share ideas. Although we work from a structured plan, we expect young people to engage in their own time on a voluntary basis.
